Thankful

My favorite person in my favorite place.

Diesel's first pup cup. He is a forever fan.

He loves Aunt Theresa and it broke me when he held onto her as he explained he will be seven years old the next time he sees her. The reality of this visit hit hard.

We took a walk and found "nice bugs" and bear tracks

The best little helper

The craft table kept everyone engaged all day. Believe it or not, they were being strategic in a game but look so very bored.

Brunch

Two dozen eggs. Three pounds of bacon. Two pounds of sausage. Copious amounts of cheese. Add a hash brown casserole, some salsa and queso. That's how you feed this family.

And then a sister finds a filter and entertains herself for a bit. The results? Hilarious.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I don't know who turned down the heat but I wish they hadn't. It was another full week of classes, work and a noisy chili night with some of my favorites. Lauren and Taylor drove up Sunday and immediately regretted not hosting instead. We all prefer Georgia weather. The fact they came up to avoid their house while it was being shown to potential buyers is something we've all decided to avoid thinking about. The house is under contract after a bidding war ended in a full cash offer. They are grateful that part of this relocation has gone well. But this two week long visit is full of tough goodbyes. They will be in Hawaii for three years so they are making the rounds to visit as many friends and family members as they can.

We are pretty bummed out about it. But our favorite little guy spent the night with us last night and we had a blast. These moments are simply the best.
